Who We Are  Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival is a non-profit, volunteer-run, educational event where prominent children’s authors meet the public, chat about their books, and sell signed copies.  It’s a fun-filled family day that includes book readings, a food court, entertainment and many kid-oriented activities.

Why We Need You Your generosity will help fund the costs of marketing and running the actual festival.  Expenses include supplies such as tents, tables, signage, audio equipment, hospitality for the authors, custodial fees and advertising (Sponsor Levels above).

Help Change Lives with CCBF   We are proud to support Open Book, a program of JCY-Westchester Community Partners whose goal is to provide books to more than 5,000 children a year who would not otherwise have access.  Open Book teaches  parents and guardians to be their child’s own first teacher. In addition, they provide mentors on a one-to-one basis.  We are happy to supply this wonderful organization with volunteers, books, and when possible, funding.

When and Where September 24, 2016 in front of Bell Middle School and St. Mary’s Church.  Admission is free.

Top Notch Marketing Helps Make it Happen Through smart advertising, public relations and marketing we will have county-wide exposure. Last year’s event was attended by 4,000 people. This year we hope to significantly grow that number. DDR Public Relations is publicizing the CCBF in an array of print publications throughout the county and New York City, and also in local radio and television announcements.  In addition, our in-house creative team has developed an exciting new ad campaign that we already introduced on social media, and intend to eventually run on Metro-North platforms and in the New York Times.  Furthermore, we are constantly updating information and promoting the festival through our website and Facebook page.
